WORK-OUT Worship? Ellen's 1st Day w/Body Gospel

Hey guys,

This morning, I did Day One of the 30-Day Body Gospel program.

I didn't pray real hard on my hands and knees beforehand. I have a close, one-on-one, 24/7 chat going with the Father, so it didn't occur to me to "get prayed up" before I began.

As we warmed up (a fairly active warm-up, showing me that this is no program for rank beginners), I marched along with the leader, the gospel song playing the background, and yes, I thanked God in my heart for my health and such and such.

What I didn't expect was the waterworks.

Four minutes in, I sensed the presence of God in the room with me and began to weep. You're familiar with those tears? They are the tears of joy that seep out when you're deep in prayer or worship; when the Spirit of God is close, and your communion is as if you're touching the Divine. You've sensed that before. Well, He was there, marching along with me, worship music blaring, our hands up, muscles working, heart pumping, lungs working. I just didn't expect it.

I thanked Him profusely during the work-out and after. I'm still thanking Him. He wanted me to "feel" that He was there with me. That focusing on Him while I get in better health is a good thing, with His stamp of approval. This one will work. This time, I will get my body in line and gain control over my food-lust.

This is a 30-day program. After that, you mix-it-up, and with all of these different DVDs, I shouldn't get bored. I feel rejuvenated, alive, my back isn't sore for the first time in a year. My positivity levels are through the roof. I will post here daily of my progress and insights. It's for me, and for anyone Adonai sends who might also be working to lose weight to be better use to Him and His people.
